Going to the Dentist
Does Aromatherapy really work?
I get extremely tense when I go to the dentist. My teeth are very sensitive and the minute I sit in the dentist chair I feel my body start to tense up. I focus on relaxing my body by going into a meditative state, so I can surrender to the work that is being done. I decided that I would try something different: I took some scented meditation oil I use when I meditate and put a dab of the oil under my nostrils. I found the scent made it easier for me to relax my mind and my body.
Next time you find yourself in a stressful situation, try putting a dab of calming a Essential Oil or Meditation Oil under your nostrils. You’ll not only permeate your senses with sweet fragrances, but will also help to calm and relax your physical and mental state.

I do something similar, when I get into the dentist chair I try and focus on something else. I think we all have the preconception that we’re in store for pain so we train ourselves to expect pain. When in fact often this is not the case. I found a very gentle dentist and rarely feel pain thus I bank on not feeling pain. I try and relax, focus on the wall, photo or something in the room. Then I mentally go to another place and think of positive or good things I’m looking forward to. This also helps pass the time and makes the whole job easier.

I see more and more people picking up attachments today with chaos in our world today and in our personal lives. Fear is running rapid and people are being called to higher spiritual awakening and self-responsibility. Of course, fear is the basis of it all and anger. (The fear turns into anger) There are many people that do not want to be responsible for there own lives, they stay within their little box (there comfort zone) and hope that they are not disturbed or inconvenienced by what is happening around them. Many want change but our deathly afraid of it so they stay within the “status quo” and continue a path that no longer works, waiting for change to happen on it’s own or leaving it up to others to make it for them. And then there are those that are proactive that don’t necessarily embrace change but say “screw it, I’m doing it anyway!” They are the ones that will survive and come out a head.
Where are you?
